Every year Fortune comes out with a list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For, drawing on the benefits employers give to their employees as a basis for their list. In this year's refresh, a significant portion of the top 100 are tech companies, and while the number one spot will not really surprise many, there are some companies you would expect to place that haven't made the cut.
Google is the best company to work for, according to Fortune
Google takes the crown once again as the best company to work for, with Fortune highlighting a range of services the company provides to employees such as "a roller hockey rink; courts for basketball, bocce, and shuffle ball; and horseshoe pits." Microsoft, another tech behemoth, managed to take out the #75 spot, while others such as Intel (#68), Qualcomm (#11) and Cisco (#42) all managed to find a spot inside the top 100.
Surprisingly, one of the largest tech companies out there - Apple - has failed to place at all, with Fortune also neglecting to include Facebook, IBM, and several other massive tech companies on the list. Apparently the workplaces of these companies don't cut it up against some other giants, with places such as FedEx and Starbucks making the list in lower positions.
